Silver Yards Wet Processing Plant Equipment Review and Assessment (Client – Labrador Iron Mines Ltd.)

Equipment review for the Labrador Iron Mines’ Silver Yards wet processing plant, located in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, near the town of Schefferville, Québec, Canada. The work involved a detailed equipment list and costs for the plant equipment, spares and auxiliary equipment assessment on the plant consisting of primary and secondary crushing, wet scrubbing, primary and secondary wet screening, density separation, wet high intensity magnetic separation and filtration to produce lump, coarse sinter, sinter fines and ultra fines products.

 

Lake St. Joseph Project, (Iron Ore) – Preliminary Economic Assessment (Client – Rockex Mining Corporation)

Mineral processing and Metallurgy portion of the Rockex’ Lake St. Joseph project, located in Northern Ontario, Canada including raw materials processing, pelletizing and hot briquetting smelting facilities to produce 4.3Mtpa of Hot Briquetted Iron (HBI) at an expected metalization of 94% Fe. Joyce Lake Project Feasibility Study – Internal update (Client – Century Global Commodities)

Update on the original Feasibility study for the Joyce Lake Direct Shipping Ore (DSO) project, located in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, approximately 20 km from the town of Schefferville, Québec, Canada. The project includes an open pit mine, dry crushing and screening processing plant, a 43 km long haul road and a rail loop to produce 2.5Mtpa lump and sinter fines DSO products.

Full Moon Preliminary Economic Assessment (Owner Side – Century Global Commodities)

Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) study for the Full Moon taconite project consisted of the Rainy Lake and Lac Le Fer properties that are located 80 km and 65 km North-West of the town of Schefferville, Québec, respectively. The project includes an open pit mine, mine infrastructure, and separate magnetite and hematite processing plants to produce 20.0 Mtpa of high silica content (4.5 %) concentrate over a 30‑year mine life with an option of a following pellet plant designed to produce 17.0 Mtpa of fired pellets in two completely identical and independent processing lines.

Duncan Lake Project, (Iron Ore) – Preliminary Economic Assessment (Owner Side –  Century Global Commodities) 

Preliminary Economic Assessment for 12 Mtpy of acid pellets (66.3% Fe, 5.1% SiO2) year-round from Duncan Lake deposits 3 and 4. Mined resources are transported to the concentrator located near Deposit 3. Concentrate is pumped from the concentrator 135 kilometres by pipeline to the pellet plant close to the town of Chisasibi on the shore of James Bay, near Stromness Island. Pellets are stored close to the pellet plant and the Duncan Lake dedicated port, and then shipped to ports in Europe and China, during the four-month ice-free period.
